Vacant properties are an easy a target for squatters, vandals, arsonists, or thieves, all of whom present a real and potentially expensive threat to your investment if you don’t protect your property with reliable security. According to the 2011 Empty Homes figures, 720,000 homes are currently empty in England alone! And that extraordinary figure does even touch on the number of vacant retail, commercial and industrial properties.
Regardless of location, these vacant properties are an easy a target for squatters, vandals, arsonists, or thieves, all of whom present a real and potentially expensive threat to your investment if you don’t protect your property with reliable security
The solution
Thanks to motion detector technology and integrated high-performance cameras with infra-red illumination, Direct Virtual Guard provides clear images of any intruder even at night or in low light conditions. It only takes the slightest movement to trigger the cameras, which then capture 10 seconds of footage as a video clip. This is then sent over the GSM network in an encrypted format to our central monitoring station where our trained team of security professionals are on had 24/7 to despatch a patrol team or call the Police.
Powered without the need for electricity
Your site doesn’t need to be connected to the mains because Direct Virtual Guard is a wireless intruder detection system powered by integral high capacity batteries. Indeed, the wireless units can monitor a vacant property or site continuously for a full 12 months without ever needing new batteries. So no site is too remote for Direct Virtual Guard and it’s ideal for warehouses, garages, lock-ups, stables, barns and other farm buildings.
No need for telephone lines
Direct Virtual Guard doesn’t rely on a phone line either. When the alarm is activated the Void Alarm system signals* our central station using its own, independent GSM mobile communication system. That means you can be confident of an immediate response even if you have a vacant property with no phone connection. What’s more, the system can be configured to send a warning text to up to five nominated emergency contacts, helping you get someone to site as quickly as possible.
